How do we get paid and do we pay anyone else for referrals?

MineLife is a subscription-based service. A subscription fee is payable when you subscribe to a newsletter.

MineLife does not receive any other fees, commissions or benefits for the services it provides (or in respect of the advice it gives). Subscribers are not referred to us, so we do not pay any commissions or other benefits as referral fees to third parties.

All employees of MineLife receive a salary. They may also receive performance based bonuses. No employee is entitled to any other fees, commissions or benefits from MineLife or any other person in relation to the financial services provided.

How do we manage potential conflicts of interest?

MineLife does not have any relationships or associations with any financial product providers that influence, or could reasonably be expected to influence us.

Our staff is required to comply with a staff securities trading policy, details of which are available upon request.

What information do we maintain in your file and what do we do with it?

We keep your name and address details in our database for the purpose of providing the services you request. We may also keep your telephone, mailing address and email details if you provide them to us. In addition, a record may be kept of correspondence between you and us, including emails and letters. At any time, you may change or remove your details by contacting us.

We may from time to time inform you of special offers. You may opt out of receiving details of these offers. MineLife respects your privacy and abides by the Privacy Act 2002.

How do you make a complaint?

We try to adhere to the highest standard of conduct at all times. Nevertheless, we understand there may be times when you would like to make a complaint about our services. Our dispute resolution process is as follows:

  1. Contact us and tell us about your complaint. We will try to resolve it fairly and within two (2) working days.
  2. If it is not resolved satisfactorily, please write to the Director of MineLife with your complaint using the contact details above.
  3. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has an information line which you can use to make a complaint or obtain information about your rights. The telephone number is 1300 300 630.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

In accordance with the requirements of the Corporations Act, Mine Life Pty Ltd maintains adequate Professional Indemnity Insurance. This insurance cover extends to claims in relation to our conduct as authorised representative and our employees and representatives past and present, to compensate clients for loss or damage suffered if we provide negligent advice.
